Yeah, that was the 'something obvious' I missed :)

Of course, postgresql support can be enabled in an 'autotools' build, 
though that introduces other problems/issues. Anyway, as I specifically 
need/want postgres support, I added an 'ENABLE_POSTGRESQL' option to the 
cmake build system which does the job.
