Hi Darrell, you can find the building scripts we use for Debian and Ubuntu in the TDE packaging GIT repository (for example in the Debian/Wheezy folder), but obviously they rely heavily on the debian building tools and surely they are different from Slackware scripts.
Inside the buildlog, you can see all the options passed to compiler and linker for each file, so you can see the exact parameters used for each file, which should help at least to localize the problem to a specific file/option.
