Yes, this does seem to be the case. Let's stay away from known problematic categories though like (at least for English speaking regions) most insects, reptiles, arachnoids, and dinosaurs (the latter due to its negative connotations in the tech world and the inevitable resultant comments on TDE being an obsolete dinosaur). Dragons also are out due to linkage with KDE, but most other animals can be considered. The phoenix is interesting as I like the imagery, but as mentioned before I'm not sure we can do that without stepping on other toes.
