You clearly move in educated circles.  "u" for you is one of my pet hates, and 
is used by the youth-aspiring middle-aged to be "cool" - or even "kool" - (and 
also, I believe by some young people)

You are, of course right.  I am being no more logical or reasonable than the 
person on the Debian who wouldn't use MATE, although it was the perfect 
solution to his problems, because it has a Spanish name.  But faced with a 
list, I would choose another.
