Ilya,

I have seen similar zlib issues with yast2 --qt3 in in 11.0 where I updated
zlib to the SLE11 version. With the 11.0 base, the updated zlib would cause yast
to segfault. Downgrading zlib fixed the 11.0 issue. However, what it tells me is
that SLE11 has incorporated changes that allow yast2 to work with the updated
zlib. I don't know if that patch/fix/whatever to yast2 in SLE11 is relevant or
could help in the 11.4 missing kcmshell icon issue, but it is worth a check to
see if there are any SLE11 patches related to zlib.
