This problem happened before kde3 was archived.
OOo is ONLY supporting certain distros version of kde3.
Both OOo and LO's kde support work with mandriva 2010 for example.
My niece was using LO until I found them to be to abusive to trust. So
I switched her over to OOo. Stay with the devil you know and all that.
