Indeed. We have Muse, Rosegarden, Creox, Hydrogen, KGuitar sequencers 
in our KDE:KDE3 repository.
I just suggested Noteedit because it is the most simple to use and thus more suitable for a 
general-purpose DE rather than professional ones.

Jack is not usually installed on a general desktop.
