Nothing saying you have to use Konqueror as a browser, there's the obvious 
alternative of Firefox, and also Arora, and Dolphin for file manager :-)

The only real advantage of Firefox over Konqueror (besides the broken KHTML) 
is more development of plugins, but that's only because they receive more 
attention. I think, once KHTML is either fixed or replaced, we can get more 
plugins developed :-)
