No it is not.

Yes you can, and it will install to wherever you specify.

Fine with me; I leave those decisions up to the package maintainers for
any given distribution.  Just please mention the incompatibility on the
page where you release the packages, and that it is a distribution
decision not a Trinity one. ;-)  That will avoid Emails coming directly to
me about incompatibilities.
