They are identical except for the fact that tqt3 uses TQ* object names
internally, allowing it to be compiled into programs along with Qt4 (this
is still a bit of a work in progress, but the theory is quite sound).

I am not familiar with non-Debian patches to Qt3, but I strongly suspect
the png and any other compilation fixes are already applied to GIT.  If
you find useful patches that have not been applied to Qt3 already, please
let us know in a bug report (with the new patches attached).
