I dug up the old Gentoo package data for the 0.4-series versions, and it suggests that 0.4.4 was
buildable against QT3 and KDE 3.5.10.  0.4.6 doesn't have the same indications, but it entered
the tree only a couple of months before Gentoo dumped KDE3, so it may never have been tested.
