I'm looking forward to those patches too! :) I had my subconscious jarred that way yesterday. I wanted to scroll a Konq file list and did not notice the mouse pointer was hovering over the tab bar. I had about a half dozen tabs open and the effect is like a ruffed grouse taking off to flight. If you never heard the bird take off, the effect is pretty much like a machine gun, their wings beat that hard and fast. Almost always startles a person, even people seasoned with being in the woods.

For me the effect of this kind of automated cycling is always, "WTF! Now where the hell was I?" Takes me a few seconds to reorient my mind at what I was doing. :)

These kinds of things is why I believe most software is designed by geeks to be used by geeks and tested only by geeks. If this stuff was in a real test lab with non geek users the marketing people would scream. Geeks think that kind of thing is "So freakin' kewl." Non geeks think this stuff is "So freakin' NOT kewl." :)

Oh well. I'll get off my soap box.
