Also depends on Qt style (in CDE style for example this problem appears with the themes with which no problems in other styles). Maybe this is because some icon files have incorrect dimentions or format specified. If to remove some icon files fron an icon theme it is possible to get rid of this bug. Another workaround is to use alternate K menu applet.
