That's pretty slick. The discussion on the opensuse-kde3 list pretty much 
mirrors Darrell's sentiments. (looking forward to the move, but needing to 
preserve usability until the replacement has matured and is reliable)

I know not what all it involved from a code standpoint, but I hope you smart 
guys are keeping an eye on what works the best between all the various efforts 
to replace HAL and cherrypicking the good parts for TDE :)
