Yes, it requires pmount.  No, I am not going to support udisks and friends
due to the fact that they require the use of DBUS, and every time I
attempt to do anything with DBUS I come away battered and bruised. ;-) 
Not only that, but there is a history of radical API changes that makes it
hard to justify the effort required to get them working.

All overrides are at compile time.
