The idea was not to copy the code but to study the code. :)

In the bug report I submitted several ideas for images. I found copies of the GNOME light bulb images and they are quite nice. Yet GPL or not we don't want to use those images. Let's use our own images.

Another idea for images is to use the browser Back and Forward button images. Any dual combination of existing artwork that reflects observable state changes for a double-click will suffice.

The link in the bug report provides a nice screen shot of the GNOME configuration utility, which is quite similar to Windows too. No need to reinvent the wheel or play the wasteful game of Not Invented Here --- that model works well and is one in which many users are already familiar. If you whip together a test patch I'll help refine and test. :)
