you definitely need to use the version from git. you are right that we
need to make some notes in the wiki about it as well.

What you need to do is "clone" the tde repository:

git clone http://scm.trinitydesktop.org/scm/git/tde

that should be all. from there the building is pretty simple. qt3 is
in main/dependencies/qt3

If you want to add a note to the Wiki on the how to build page, that
would be great :)
