I like idea. I dislike patching tde-i18n files. On the other hand, the types of patches I do are generic and affect all files, such as updating kde -> tde. In such cases applying simple text replacement patches like that would be a chore because then there would be one commit per language. Ouch. I don't know a good solution.

At the other end of the spectrum, downloading localization files should _not_ be a chore. Packagers should be creating only one package per language.
