Oh, even the "awesome" window manger has it's community ;-) And on what facts 
do you base the assumtion that TDE is only used by it's developers?

It has not more bugs pending than any other DE, I'd even say it has less. 

Anyhow, this discussion leads nowhere. Either you like to use TDE, then use 
it, or take something more apropriate for your needs.
