I understand the desire, but I don't want to be notified of every bug report filed or changed.

The problem described has not occurred often. The root problem is sometimes some of us are forgetful and do not check the bugzilla before acting. :(

Bug report 2127 currently is assigned to Francois. I am content to wait until you and he resolve the bug report. :)
