Hi Emanoil,
usually TDE packages in Debian are build using "RelWithDebInfo" as default option. You need to change this to "Debug" in
the debian/rules file using
-DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Debug
See the debian/rules files in tdelibs for an example of where to place it.
