My entire business is built around word-processing from a document standpoint, and the only viable packages have been Office on the Win side and OO on the Linux side. Koffice was a great concept, but I don't think it has ever quite "made it" from a usability standpoint. WP for Linux was around several years ago, but I think that was completely abandoned.
