Ya got me there.  Dunno (yet) what "locolor" means.  First guess is it's
_less_ than 24-bit color.

ImageMagick ?  read on:

`display` from ImageMagick:

 $ display whatever.png

 <right-click> on the image, and select "Image Info" from the dropdown.

`convert` from ImageMagick may be what you want to achieve "locolor".
