Great - Tim has already done the fix - see commit d573a253. I just tested 
it in Precise (where was FTBFS) and in Squeeze (where it was ok) and both 
are ok.

It seems that commits d8cbbab8 and d573a253 can be included into 
v3.5.13-sru.
