Also nobody is reporting eject problems with Slackware 14. Those two systems probably use a different method to request an eject operation. Does 'eject' work from the command line at all on your system? Regarding the CD/DVD mountpoint, I am not entirely comfortable using the disk volume name as the mountpoint. I am especially concerned about what might happen if more than one disk uses the same name--normally this results in a nested mount on Linux, which is NOT what would be desired in this case. Tim
