And also it seems there are multiple minor differences in your dialog and mine.

Mine shows vertical and horizontal offset sliders, yours - only vertical,
mine shows size sliders adjusters, yours only adjuster for the base size and two sliders for multiliers.
Even the form of the sliders in the same theme (Plastik) differs. This all suggests that Trinity is based
on an older branch of KDE3 than that in openSUSE repository. This may explain why 
you experience problems with standard KDE3 shadows which work well for me.
