  My only thought is to look at the kde3 integration for openoffice or
libreoffice that allows integration of KDialog with those apps. They are the
only ones, along with Opera 10X, that I recall ever allowing selection of the
file picker. It would be a huge win if you could find a way to generically do
it. My understanding though, is that each app must be patched to use KDialog
instead of its native filechooser (picker).
